We are taught from when we are young that all friends are valuable. The girl scouts have a song which says, make new friends, but keep the old, one is silver and the other is gold. How true, keeping the friends we have made over the years is so important. Most of us have best friends-and other friends that we treasures in the truest sense. Why, because they’re the ones who see eye to eye with you and with whom you feel totally comfortable with. They are the ones who will tell you if you deserve better or rush to you side in an emergency and celebrate your victories. As a military wife who moved quite a bit, I always tried to keep up with those special friends I made over the years. Those relationships still grow, even today.
A good friend is a connection to life-a tie to the past, a road to the future, the key to sanity in a totally insane world.

It is always more meaningful and wonderful when you can share your life and goals with others. Great friends and family are key.

I think best friends are the ones who have been through what you’ve been through. They understand where you’re coming from and where you’re going.
