If you lay an egg, make an omelet

Have you ever heard that phrase? To me it means that we all slip up sometimes and have said things we did not intend to say and really didn’t mean it. We become embarrassed when that happens and and we try to turn back our words and apologize and hope the person will accept it. When we have word-related fumbles, they usually stem from a thought or opinion we didn’t intend to broadcast. Or more often then not, we let our mouth run faster than our brain can get in gear with it. Also, we are just not thinking and and we let go with whatever comes to mind. You can make that up to others when it happens to them and just smile and change the subject. They will be eternally grateful and it will certainly brighten up their day.
